MKO Abiola's daughter, Hafsat Abiola, has Endorsed Buhari

Hafsat Abiola, daughter of M.K.O Abiola has endorsed the APC presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari. In an article written by Hafsat, she stated categorically that: “I endorse General Muhammadu Buhari fully and without reservation.” Below is the full text of Hafsat Abiola's piece:

“Dear Nigerians,
Saturday is D-Day. It is a moment of joy that Nigeria has again been given an opportunity to stand on its feet. In this, I see clear evidence of God’s love for us. But we must now do our part. Let money not blind us to the task that is ours to do for the wealth that can be ours is far greater than any that our friends might offer us to induce our support for their candidate.

Over the last few days I have had the opportunity to meet with the foreign minister of the Netherlands and later to speak to members of his staff. They sought my opinion on the rape of girls and women by Boko Haram. Is rape being used as a weapon of war as is the situation in Congo?, they wondered.
What can be done to address this problem?, they asked. Perhaps it was wrong of me but I had already moved ahead of the particular challenges of abductions, poor education and healthcare, corruption, and other symptoms of failure in our society. I was already in the future where our country was being governed by a leader I could trust. A leader who spoke with a simple sincerity and integrity and had the will to match his words with actions. I looked at them and told them that Nigeria will soon be able to address its challenges because our actions in the coming days would place us under a leadership capable of tackling our problems from their roots, once and for all.
I trust in you, the people of Nigeria, because my father trusted you. I trust that in spite of all the money that has been given to some of our leaders over the last few weeks, in spite of all the lies some have been peddling, that you understand what is at stake for Nigeria. It is no less than the fate of 170 million people. Only sincere and effective leadership can secure our country and secure for us a tomorrow worthy of the sacrifices of our heroes, worthy of our ambitions for our children.

I know that things are rough. I know that the incomes in most households cannot meet the burden of your needs and that some of you are sorely tempted to just take care of yourself and your nuclear family. But even if you individually are connected and can access the spoils being divided through the bankrupt system that has been used by Nigeria’s government, can that be said for all those you care about? Can that be said for the majority of Nigerians? By now we should understand that we will do best individually when we look out for everyone collectively.
In reaction to this letter, some will tell you that I am only being partisan but let me ask you if, since 1999, I have ever publicly endorsed a candidate? The truth is that my parents sacrificed everything, including their lives that Nigeria may work. It is not working and cannot so long as some hold the whole country to ransom
What our president must do is to transform a system, not simply replace the few benefiting from it with a different group of chosen few. A true transformation may mean that the few will not be as rich but the majority will no longer be poor. So let us take a stand so that Nigeria is no longer for sale. No one can buy what we will not sell at the market. When we refuse to sell our country to the highest bidder, we will also be protecting our legitimate aspirations to live in dignity, security and prosperity.
Today the world celebrates Lee Kuan Yew of Singapore for moving a small island country in Asia from third world to first. But imagine if the people of Singapore had never given him a chance to lead them. Would the world even know that the country existed today, talk less of recognising it as one of the world’s success stories? That is the task before you on Saturday. Everything depends on you.

One last message for President Jonathan. Thank you for your efforts to lead Nigeria. Should the results of the elections not favour you, please be aware that a smooth handover would still secure you a place among the giants of Nigeria. The curses that surround those that stood in the way of the peoples’ mandate on June 12 will never be yours should you lose and yet demonstrate the exemplary leadership that others failed to show then. Do not doubt that your name can yet be written in gold.
So in closing, to avoid any confusion, let me say clearly: in the 2015 presidential elections, I endorse General Muhammadu Buhari fully and without reservation. In 1993 my father promised Nigerians that if given the presidential mandate, our people would say farewell to poverty. We know that because the elections were annulled, he could not fulfil that promise. Sadly, that promise remains unfulfilled till today. It is my honest conviction based on a disinterested assessment that General Buhari is our best chance of seeing that promise fulfilled.

Thank you all for reading this.”

I Got A Revelation That Jonathan Will Be Re-Elected; Dr Thomas Manton IV

Dr Thomas Manton IV’s Prophecy For Nigeria, For Presidential Election 2015
The Lord spoke to me, and said to me that it is His will, for Mr. Goodluck Jonathan to be re-elected as the President of Nigeria!

I want to say it just like that. God said to me that it is His will that he be re-elected. And I’ll now tell you ‘why He told me this.

The Lord said to me:

“I want Christianity in your Palaces, and I want it in your State Houses! I want Christianity to be most prevalent now amongst the governors, senators, ministers and ministries. I want Christianity to be at the fore-front in your business-worlds. If you give all of these over to another religion, then you are not just dealing with the man anymore, but now the spirit of the other thing! If you give ‘place’ to the spirit that’s ‘resident’ in the person, because of their philosophies, doctrines and religions; then you are then in-fact, escalating the ‘residency’ of those other forces and entities to then spread over the entire nation. And you must know now that I do not want this, says the Lord!”

People often complain about things in Nigeria, like people often do in so many other countries too. People can say: “Well, you know things have been hard, and some things were not done correctly.” But do you know what? God is going to give the President, and the people, a chance to reckon things out now, and still yet fix things.
The Holy Spirit will now come in and institute many great new things in Nigeria! God told me some time back, for Nigeria, that He is going to infiltrate people’s minds and hearts now very much more, with ‘The Big Picture’ for Nigeria! And it certainly needs to happen now! For when sin and corruption is lifted up over a nation, it is a reproach for all the people in one way or another. Sinning means ‘missing the mark’. But Jesus Christ is Lord in Nigeria, regardless!

Photos: Woman beats teacher in front of her students for sleeping with her husband

A woman savagely beat a teacher in front of her students after claiming that the teacher was having an affair with her husband. But instead of the students and other members of staff to stop the fight, they stood aside, watched the fight, filmed it and uploaded the clip on Youtube. Dang!!

35 year old Laelia Paredes Flores, stormed into the classroom in Huimanguillo in south-east Mexico, and attacked 32 year old Marcella Villalpando Tovar. Tovar was kicked, punched in her face and stomach and jumped on. And her students didn't do anything to stop it. In fact, another woman can be heard off camera encouraging the beat down. Wow! See the video after the cut...

Student Miriam Gracia Adomo, 16, said:
"The woman charged in and began shouting and screaming before punching our teacher to the floor. That’s when I ran to get help. But when other teachers came they just stood around watching. It was really terrible, terrible."
After the act was widely condemned, a school spokesperson released a statement saying;
“The woman claimed that our teacher was having an affair with the husband of one of the student’s dads and the mother took exception. We are appalled that this attack happened in our school and that nothing was done to stop it, and we shall be carrying out a full investigation.”

Gridlock as residents arrive in Ilorin for elections

There was heavy vehicular movement around the Ilorin metropolis, Kwara State, on Thursday evening as residents, who registered in the state, arrived from across the country to cast their votes.

Our correspondent, who toured the Garri Alimi, ‎Oja Oba, Alore and Sobi areas of the the state capital, noticed large number of people who had travelled from other parts of the country to the state capital.
The returnees said they had come from the south-western and northern parts of the country to ‎exercise their vote for their candidates at home.
Some of them, who spoke with our correspondents, gave reasons why they decided to travel home for the polls despite the inconveniences.

Lateef Adebayo said he regretted not participating in the 2011 general elections, adding that he came home this time to vote for his choice of candidates to avoid blaming himself later.
He said, “I did not vote in the last elections and I believe there are thousands of Nigerians, who have such non-challant attitude like me. Recently, it occurred to me that why do I blame bad governments when I did not vote. May be, they would not have been voted into power if I and others like me had come to vote.
“In fact, I came home last month too to collect‎ my PVC.”

Yusufu Idris, a tailor in Ondo State, said‎ he was convinced to some extent that his vote would count going by the arrangements put in place by the Independence National Electoral Commission.

He said, “I have a feeling that with the use of PVC and card reader, rigging will be very difficult. That is what pushed me to leave my work and travel all the way from Akure with my wife to vote because we registered here in 2011. I believe my vote will count this time around.”
Forty-three-year-old Amudalat Adeshina said‎ she and her husband hailed from Ilorin but live in Minna, Niger State.

She added they usually come home every two months to visit their son and daughter, who school in the University of Ilorin.
Mr. Gbadeyan Joseph, a resident of Sango, said the zeal with which his friends in Abuja disc‎ussed elections, prompted him to come home in February to collect his PVC.

“‎I work as a mechanical engineer with a company in Abuja. I have been living there for two years now. Most of my friends said they would rather go home to vote and mobilise others to do so rather than transfer their registration to Abuja. I think Nigerians are becoming wiser by the day and more people are willing to vote their conscience irrespective of monetary inducement from politicians,” he said.

A commercial driver, Abiodun ‎Jimoh, also shared a similar view with Joseph’s colleagues, saying he had come to Ilorin from Alapa, in the Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State to mobilise his relatives to vote.

Don’t disappoint Jonathan, ex-NDDC boss tells Ndigbo

With just one day to the Presidential election, a former Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Chief Onyema Ugochukwu, has urged voters, particularly of the Igbo extraction, not to disappoint President Goodluck Jonathan of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party.

The PDP chieftain in an interview with The PUNCH said Jonathan remained “the best option” for Ndigbo, considering the numerous gestures of his administration to the race.

He said he did not expect Ndigbo who had remained the main support-base of the President to fail him at the poll, arguing that ” it is better to work with the devil you know than the angel you do not know.”

Ugochukwu, however, expressed faith that Jonathan would sweep the poll considering his laudable achievements in key sectors of the economy.

The 2007 Abia State PDP governorship candidate also appealed to Abia electorates to help deliver all PDP candidates in the state, saying Abia had fared better under the party and “cannot afford to be in the opposition.”

Predicting a peaceful poll, the ex-NDDC boss begged the opposition not to resort to violence in the eventuality of defeat contending that, “it is inevitable that PDP will win.”

He admitted that the use of card readers in the election would significantly check rigging, if properly managed, but expressed fears that as a new technology, experimenting it with crucial elections as the Presidential and National Assembly polls could be risky.

He debunked insinuations that he was promised the Senatorial ticket of Umuahia Central zone as compensation for his reconciliation with Gov. Theodore Orji in 2011, saying that he never struck any deal with the Governor.

The former Editor of Daily Times said he never felt shortchanged at the emergence of Gov. Orji as the PDP candidate for the zone, and declared his full support for his candidature which, he noted, was according to the people’s wish.

He, however, said he had not retired from active politics but vowed never to contest for any elective position again.

Here Is Why Jonathan Should Be Sent Back Home

Written by Azubuike Ishiekwene

It gets to this moment, the moment when lies run their full course and ugly twisted tales are laid bare. It’s the moment of truth. Four years and 10 months after Goodluck Jonathan assumed office as president, it’s time for reckoning.

In Jonathan’s early days in office, I remember a conversation I had with someone very close to him, someone who had known him since his days as deputy governor in Bayelsa and who became very close to him when, as vice president, he had oversight of the Bureau for Public Enterprises which oversaw the privatisation process, including the independent power projects.

After one of his numerous meetings with Jonathan in those early days in 2010 following the death of President Umaru Yar’Adua, I teased my acquaintance that he had become part of an inner circle preparing Jonathan to stand election in 2011. He said he was sure Jonathan would run, but added that “the man vowed that even if he did – and he’ll do so very reluctantly – he will not stand again for election if the power situation in the country did not improve.”

On that, he said, the man was categorical.

On September 28, 2010, when Jonathan formally declared his intention to stand election, his second promise from a long list was: “We will fight for all Nigerians to have access to power.

It’s been five years since. You must ask yourself today if Jonathan has kept his word. I’m not talking about a privatisation framework that completely ignored the gas master plan and shared public assets largely among cronies, with little regard for due diligence.

I’m not talking about the fraudulent commissioning and re-commissioning of power plants that had been commissioned by former President Olusegun Obasanjo years ago. I’m not talking about lies in newspaper adverts that power generation has reached 5,500MW when, in fact, it is less than 3,700MW as you read this piece. I’m not talking about TAN adverts, which some estimate to have cost over N5billion in dodgy funds.

Nor am I talking about a recent memo by Vice President Namadi Sambo to Jonathan asking for at least N42billion to buy meters for consumers, only for the money to be diverted and shared for PDP campaign.

I’m just saying you should ask yourself a straightforward question: after five years and billions of naira, do you have more electricity in your home today than you had in 2010?

In that same speech by Jonathan, which is available online at http://www.vanguardngr.com/2010/09/100003/), he said, “We will fight corruption.”

In words and in deed, no government has embraced and fed on corruption as generously as has Jonathan’s government. Sometimes, I think he does it without meaning harm. He just does not know how to run a government differently.

That’s why even though the Nuhu Ribadu committee found that N2trillion had been stolen in the subsidy scam, Jonathan ended up using the report to prop his armchair. That’s why, twice in public interviews, he has made a distinction between stealing and corruption. That’s why even though serving ministers in his government collected N120billion in backdoor payments for Malabu Oil, he has not lifted a finger. And that’s why his government cannot account for N150billion stolen by thieving pension officials who still enjoy presidential protection.

The theft list is formidable and pervasive, but I promise you that not a single one in this column is false or mentioned maliciously. I have, in fact, left out the famous $20billion flagged by Sanusi Lamido Sanusi. That figure will get worse if you tear yourself off Diezani Alison-Madueke’s skirt for a moment and ask what the government has done with $81.3billion received from the sale of 445,000bpd of crude oil allocated to NNPC for almost five years when the price was not less than $100 per barrel.

Part of the waste trail has been out there for everyone to see in the last six weeks – in the vile political campaigns and bribes in place of honest effort that should have been invested to govern in the past five years.

In 2011, under this same Jonathan who promised to “fight corruption,” 450MHz, a premium spectrum valued at $50million, was sold to an incompetent licensee for $6million and a waiver of N1billion granted by ministers Omobola Johnson and Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala in a transaction in which the NCC boss had a vested interest. The first leg of the 800MHz was sold for 13million euros in Nigeria – an asset which Germany sold for 1.53billion euros around the same time.

If Jonathan was really interested in fighting corruption, he would have had the back of Bashir Gwandu, who not only opposed the NCC bazaar, but blew the whistle on the fraud. But Gwandu was shafted and removed, only for a competent court to overturn his illegal and unjustified removal.

And Jonathan wants to come back? This is the moment of truth. In his own words, he promised to “fight to create jobs for all Nigerians.” In his recent campaign promises, he has even promised to create two million jobs every year!

Since we can only judge him by his record, figures from the NBS show that his best has been 2.2million jobs in three years. If you believe that a man who could not create more than roughly 730,000 jobs a year will create two million yearly at a time when civil servants are going without salaries because the government is broke, that’s fine. But you cannot claim tomorrow that his promise was counterfeit.

I’ve read about the dubious promises of thousands of kilometres of roads and the claims of better education, healthcare and fast trains. These promises were made five years ago and they are being repeated for our enjoyment in colourful newspaper adverts.

How can you forget that the longest teachers’ strike in years – five months and three weeks by university teachers – has been under Jonathan? As for healthcare, his own man and secretary of the Centenary committee charity ball, Kingsley Esegbue, said in October 2013 that Nigerians spend N250billion on medical tourism. So where did they spend the money on healthcare? And the fast trains? It’s a lie that has no second part.

Security has been a nightmare, with extraordinary incompetence that led to the kidnap of the 279 Chibok girls and the killing of over 12,000 persons including the brutal murder of young school children, before this government outsourced security, its basic function, to mercenaries and neighbouring countries.

If Nigeria were a company, the shareholders would have fired Jonathan long ago. But if after nearly five years of incredible incompetence and failed promises you sincerely believe that you must vote him as reward for his poor performance, that’s fine.

The die is cast. They are out there as you read this piece, sharing bribes amassed from NNPC and deploying force where their bribes cannot reach. I know we have an incredible capacity to quibble and move on, but let this be clear: we cannot escape the consequences of the choice we make tomorrow for another four years.

One thousand one hundred words are enough….

Wife Loosing Her Husband To His Secret Girlfriend

Every woman has this dream of when she meets the “other woman” in her husband’s life. She sees this “other woman” as plain dull and with an interesting background – a woman who would be pathetically grateful for any male attention. A woman she, the wife, would look down on with pity, convinced that her husband would be insane to leave her for cheap thrills like this one.

She’s kidding herself, of course! The other woman is often ravishingly attractive and eager to give the wife at home a stiff competition. Ifi said she never really met her husband’s women until recently. All she’d come to rely on whenever he was having affairs were the tell-tale signs – His reluctance to make love, his going to cocktails and dinners without her and his distant look whenever she discussed anything important with him.

Ifi would be the first to tell you that Levi, her husband, did not get to the top today by being ‘straight’. He’d always bragged that he knew a great deal about human nature and had found out early in life how easy it was to arouse greet. It’s amazing the number of palm-greasing he’d been able to get away with – the fat commissions he’d pulled over the years showed just how successful he’d exploit the greed in his contacts.

A very ruthless businessman, he’s always stopped any opposition in its track. Ifi and Levi live in one of the reserved areas in Ikeja, but Levi has a consultancy office on Victoria Island. Ifi was in Lagos early this year to do some shopping for one of the kids’ forthcoming birthday, and since she didn’t bring her car, she thought she would cage a lift from her husband. The shopping centre she visited was a few minutes walk from his office.

“Levi shares the same floor with his younger brother who is also a partner in his firm”, Ifi told me.

“Onome, his brother, is really Levi’s right hand man and I thought I would say hello to him first. The top of the door to his office is glass, and what I saw in that room made me dizzy with shock. At the desk sat this lovely lady, vaguely, I remembered Levi telling me about a year ago that they’d just employed a brilliant company secretary. And there she sat, a beautiful lady in her thirties. She had class, I would say that for her. Levi was with her – sitting in Onome’s chair. Where was Onome? I discretely disappeared to give the love-birds the privacy they needed. The intimacy between this woman and my husband was obvious. As I hesitated, his fingers played teasingly on the front of her blouse. I drew back swiftly and rushed down the corridor to the ladies...

Photos: police reportedly tear gas protesting women in Imo during GEJ's visit yesterday

Women believed to be members of APC in Imo state were allegedly tear-gased by security men as they protested the use of the Imo state Women development center, venue of President Jonathan's meeting with Imo state indigenes yesterday March 24th.
The women were said to have been protesting being shut out of the Women Development Center which they had earlier booked before President Jonathan's visit. The women barricaded the entrance into the State Secretariat of Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers, ahead of the visit of President Jonathan to the place, and were teargassed after they refused the advice of the security agencies to leave the premises before the president arrived. Graphic: Mob beats mentally ill woman to death for burning the Koran in Afghanistan

A mob in Afghanistan, punched, kicked, stoned, and beat a woman to death and then set her body on fire and threw it into a muddy river in Kabul yesterday Thursday March 19th for burning pages of Islam's holy book near the Shah-e Doh Shamshira shrine and mosque and it was all caught on tape.

The woman was later identified as 27 year old Farkhunda. Her parents later told police that she suffered from mental illness for many years and that she had not meant to burn Islam's holy book

The head of Kabul's criminal police General Farid Afzali told AFP: "A woman burned a copy of the Koran in the Shahi Doshamshira neighbourhood. She was killed. The woman's body was then thrown into the Kabul Rive"

A spokesman for the Ministry of Interior later confirmed that four suspects have so far been arrested in connection with the killing.

Olubadan Of Ibadan Reveals Who He Is Endorsing

The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Samuel Odulana, on Thursday, revealed who he will be endorsing for the March 28 presidential election.

According to the Nigerian Tribune, the Olubadan directed his subjects, sons and daughters of Ibadanland and other Yorubas to cast their votes for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Major General Muhammadu Buhari, on March 28.

The traditional ruler gave the directive at the “Pan Yoruba Summit” convened by General Alani Akinrinade, held at Parliament Building, State Secretariat, Ibadan and attended by notable Yoruba leaders.

The monarch, who was represented by the Ekerin Olubadan of Ibadanlan, High Chief Eddy Oyewole, maintained that the current situation in Nigeria demanded a credible leader like General Buhari.

Oyewole, speaking on behalf of the Olubadan, said: “I have the authority of his Royal Majesty, Oba Odugade 1, to direct Ibadan sons and daughters, as well as implore our other Yoruba sons and daughters that, come March 28, all of us should vote for General Buhari.

“Buhari has done it before and we can attest to his sterling qualities. Our country deserves a credible and dependable leader like him, now,” he submitted.

The Olubadan’s endorsement of Buhari is contrary to the decisions of other Yoruba monarchs, the Alaafin of Oyo and the Ooni of Ife, who endorsed Jonathan.
Meanwhile the Awujale of Ijebu received nationwide acclaim when he revealed that he would not endorse any presidential candidate because royal fathers should not have to tell people who to vote for, rather people should be allowed to choose for themselves.

No Waiting At Polling Booths After Voting – IG Warns Nigerians

 Inspector-General of Police, Suleiman Abba
Inspector-General of Police, Suleiman Abba The Inspector-General of Police, Suleiman Abba, on Thursday warned voters to go back to their homes after casting their votes on election days.

Abba, who addressed accredited observers for the general elections in Abuja, said the possibility of committing electoral offence was very high if voters stayed back at the polling booths for votes to be counted.
He said that each polling unit would have at least two or three policemen to protect the votes cast by the electorate.
The IG said, ‘‘Two to three police officers will be attached to each polling unit, and we would provide more officers for the collation centres and for the managers of the elections.

“We will go on to protect the electorate. Every eligible voter should feel safe enough to cast his votes. We will be there to protect the votes and make sure no one disrupts the process.
“Cast your votes and go and cool down. If you remain there, there is a likelihood that you will commit an offence.’’ The police chief advised political parties and their candidates to abide by “one agent to a polling unit,” which the electoral act stipulates. “Asking voters to wait and protect their votes implies taking the law into their own hands. It is unacceptable,” he said. Abba said the police were aware of threats by some politicians to declare parallel election results and warned that his men would deal with such act within the ambit of the law.

He added, “We have heard some people are threatening to declare election results; we hope it is not true. If you don’t accept the declared result by INEC (Independent National Electoral Commission), the best way is to proceed to the tribunal. In advanced democracies, people don’t take the law into their own hands but resort to tribunals. “The refusal to accept the result and resort to extrajudicial activities is a threat to the electoral process. But where they don’t heed the appeal, the police will act within the law to protect the electoral process.”

The IG said that the police would be loyal to the country, the constitution and all democratic activities before, during and after the elections in which 56,000 Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps officials and 129,000 non-regular personnel would be part of the security arrangements. While disclosing that the police have “arrested thousands of thugs” and “recovered hundreds of firearms” he condemned the recruitment of miscreants by politicians to achieve their goals. Abba noted that lateness in commencement of voting, delay in the provision of electoral materials, rigging and manipulation of results were serious threats to electoral process.

Don't fall with the dollar! Compare prices of phones, computers & appliances on www.PricePadi.com He advised INEC to fasten the process of accreditation of voters on election days. The IG also said in a statement on Thursday that he had ordered tight security around all key and vulnerable points, including the headquarters and offices of INEC and media houses. Also to witness improved security are Internally Displaced Persons camps, service provider installations, banks, hospitals, National Youth Service Corps lodges, hotels and government offices. The measure, according to him, is to ward off possible attempt by hoodlums to attack such places .

Abba urged the public to remain steadfast in collaborating with policemen to stamp out crimes, “as the police have perfected strategies to prepare a safe and secure ground to guarantee hitch-free March 28 and April 11, 2015 elections.” Efforts to speak with the APC spokesman, Lai Mohammed, did not yield result as calls to his telephone rang out. He also did not respond to a text message sent to him. Meanwhile, Abba has called for improved synergy between the police and para-military agencies under the Ministry of Interior for enhanced security during and after the polls. The IG made the call when he visited the Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, to strategise on better ways of guaranteeing security during the elections. He commended the efforts of security agencies in assisting the police in protecting lives and property, saying a lot has been done to ensure that security officers deployed for the polls adhered to best practices.

The minister also expressed satisfaction with the synergy between the paramilitary agencies and the police. He noted that the rivalry that had earlier existed between the men of the NPF and other security agencies had been curbed. “I am pleased to note that the networking between the police and the para-military services during your tenure is commendable,” Moro said.

The minister announced that 56,000 NSCDC personnel and 129,000 non-regular personnel of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, would be mobilised for the elections. He also appealed to the IG to beef up security in Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State where Fulani herdsmen killed over 80 people last Sunday.

Couple ask Formula 1 champion to take their pic not knowing who he was

Lewis Hamiltion is a 2-time Formula 1 Champion and one of the most famous faces in the world of sports. In fact, he even dated popular singer, Nicole Scherzinger, so you'd expect everyone to know him, right? Wrong! These tourists didn't.

When they bumped into him at Sydney Harbour Bridge, in Australia on Tuesday March 17th, the last thing on their mind was a 'selfie' with him, because they didn't know who he was. Instead they asked for him to take a photo of them and their baby. After he did, they thanked him, took their camera and walked away...and the hilarious moment was captured on camera by paparazzi.

Lewis is in Australia for the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne which held over the weekend which he won.

1000 PDP Members Change The Party

Over 1000 members of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Igueben Local Government Area of Edo State defected to the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday, March 5th.
A former Local Government Transition Committee Chairman, Tom Adodo, had also changed PDP to APC, as Premium Times informed.

Also, all the former PDP members declared support for the APC administration of Adams Oshiomhole.

Addressing Mr. Oshiomhole and other members of the APC at the Government House, Mr. Adodo expressed, ‘’Today, many of us that are here are from Ward 1 to 10 in Igueben Local Government. We are here to pledge and affirm our support to the Comrade-Governor because it is only a foolish man that will not see the developmental strides of the governor in Edo State in the past six years.’’
Igueben is hometown of PDP leader, Tom Ikimi, a former foreign affairs minister, who until last year was a senior member of the APC

“For so many years, PDP administration brought decay to our infrastructures, we have seen decay even in our moral lives. So, we are here to pledge our loyalty to the government that have done so much for the people of Edo State.”

Besides, a former youth leader, PDP Ward 6, Otoide Precious, thanked the governor for his good work in the state.
“I will like to thank you Mr. Governor for the good work you have been doing for Edo State. I am not here to criticize or to advertise but am here to tell you the major truth. I believe you will be the President of this great country,” Mr. Precious said.
Moreover, he added, “Is this not enough for us to leave PDP and join APC? Is this not enough reason for us to know that APC is the light of the country? We believe that the APC Presidential candidate will be better than the present President. That is why we mobilize ourselves to tell the world that there is need to dump PDP and join forces with the APC.”

On his part, another defector, Mr. Aligbe said, “It is in this administration of Comrade Oshiomhole that Igueben people have been enjoying good roads, infrastructural development and so on.”
Receiving the defectors, Mr. Oshiomhole expressed delight concerning the further development.
While reaffirming one of the defectors position, the governor addressed to everyone, “Today in everywhere in Edo including Igueben there is darkness. Do we have light? If there is no light, do you want darkness to continue?”

To be mentioned, in the last few years, we have witnessed APC governors, ministers and other lawmakers defect to the PDP for a variety of reasons.
Current director of media and publicity for the PDP presidential campaign organisation and former minister, Femi Fani-Kayode was disowned by the APC in June 2014.
